Description
This is a simple sign and mailbox rule for use in ArcGIS Pro (2.1 or higher) and CityEngine (2017.1 or higher) on polygon shapes and will work on points feature in ArcGIS Pro. The CityEngine rule can create two simple models, a mailbox and a ‘for sale’ sign, for visualisation purposes. In addition you can change the texture asset too, but make sure you get permission to use company signs (ie: Remax) before any public use. Connect the rule to GIS attributes and you can automatically align the models to a given direction. This rule is designed primarily for use in CityEngine and uses the Handles and Range annotations to allow for interactive control of sizes and orientation.
INSTALLATION:
After download unzip the Rule Package GD3D_Postbox_Sign_v2.rpk and place in rules folder in ArcGIS CityEngine project or in an ArcGIS Pro project folder
To use custom image extract rules and image asset (use winzip/7Zip) from RPK file and use this instead.
NOTE:
Full code is included with this rule package, just unzip the rpk file with a tool like WinZip or 7Zip.
This rule is free for use in any project commercial or otherwise. This is a somewhat older rule and a new version is being worked on.
